We started this initiative because we found that the solution is as close to home as it can get: enable our country’s vegetable growers and pave a straight path for local produce to reach more people. We believe we are not alone in this mission. Our goal is to provide a concrete, convenient, and sustainable way to wake up our innate spirit of bayanihan and share the goods.
Our Partner Communities:
Barangay Calawis is the poorest and most remote barangay in Antipolo City – home to 1,500 households, with 10% of the population belonging to the Dumagat tribe. Because of the enhanced community quarantine, a lot of the workers who are employed outside Calawis, most of whom sole breadwinners of their respective families, have been forced to come home. Even farmers who earn a living from peddling their produce in nearby cities have been cut off from the market. Hence, the situation in this community is dire, with a lot of reported cases of families struggling to put food on the table.
